William moves onto the Labs division from WorkGroup. WorkGroup PDM gets no improvements in 2009. The product offering is really removed (or at least not advertised on SolidWorks site). SolidWorks doesn't have a clear position on this. The VARs are even worse.

Re: Interview With William Doll, Director of SolidWorks Labs

Hi Brian, I never knew who was behind the labs group but now I do. I have tried many of the things that they have come out with and I like the whole idea. They are very innovative and if they are left to do their inventive creations we will have some very nice add ons for later versions. Great little group and now I know how small it really is. Great work guys and gals. Thanks Brian for doing this little article. We should have more revelations like this about the SolidWorks people we never hear about.

Re: Interview With William Doll, Director of SolidWorks Labs

Great interview. Sounds like the conversation I had with him as well. Bill is a great guy and the right guy to be running a division like the LABS. He obviously is an out of the box thinker and I look forward to more out of the LABS site. It is fun to live on the bleeding edge!
